Notice Type: Sources Sought Title: LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) Equipment Notice ID: N00173-25-SSN-DH01 Response Date: In accordance with the due date determination listed via SAM Interested Vendors List: Yes Original/Update Set Aside: N/A NAICS: 334511 - Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing Place of Performance: TBD DESCRIPTION: The Naval Research Laboratory is searching for potential sources that are capable of meeting the requirement described below for LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) equipment: LIDAR equipment of small size, weight, and power for detecting and ranging Lambertian grey bodies with 30% reflectivity of approximately 100 square centimeters at ranges up to 2 kilometers to a range resolution of 1 centimeter or less. The intent is to develop/procure a hand-held device. The type of technical data, quantitative information requested: System architecture and design Technical maturity Size, weight and power Environmental limits on operations, (shock/vibe, weather, etc.) Laser Power, (Peak and average power) Beam divergence Laser spectrum (Wavelength, bandwidth) Waveform description and repetition rate Range resolution, number of range bins Description of user interface The intent of this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is to: Determine if an adequate number of qualified, interested contractors capable of meeting the specifications described above exist; and Determine if the contractor can meet the required specifications. NRL asks that the interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) with associated contact information Business Size/Socioeconomic Category for the identified NAICS Unique Entity ID and/or CAGE Code Capabilities Statement detailing the specific hardware set that meets the Government’s provided Specifications. Clearly identify the items by brand name (if any), make or model number, and include any descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information.
