Space Electronic Systems Prototype Development
NRL anticipates releasing a full-and-open RFP for Space Electronic Systems Prototype Development (SESPD) Phase III to support its Spacecraft Engineering Division in conceiving, developing, integrating, testing, and demonstrating space and aerospace systems for DoW, Navy, and national missions. The effort covers spacecraft electronics, experimental payloads, mission systems, and multidisciplinary support across the development lifecycle, including systems engineering, prototyping, integration/testing, launch and mission operations support, data analysis, and documentation. The anticipated contract is a five-year IDIQ with an initial two-year task order at award and possible option periods, with an estimated aggregate level of effort of about 531,280 labor hours. This presolicitation is not a request for proposals; interested parties may submit questions or feedback by November 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. ET to the listed NRL contacts, and must monitor SAM.gov for the forthcoming solicitation. Prospective offerors will need to satisfy SAM registration requirements.
