DESCRIPTION: NRL is seeking two bipedal, two armed humanoid robots to advance research in human-robot teaming and interaction in environments where wheeled locomotion is impractical or human-sized working/reaching envelopes are needed. The robot is to provide basic functionality out of the box, allowing high-level application and research area code development without having to re-implement mid-level robot functions (e.g., motion, navigation, mapping, collision avoidance). Arms and grippers are necessary to demonstrate performance of activities in the application domains, such performance serving to illustrate the benefit of underlying user research. The robot must have integrated sensors for sensing dynamic environments and a software SDK/API to allow user access to the factory software and sensor data, to implement mid-level level capabilities, and for development of high-level research application software. CONTRACTOR RESPONSE FORMAT: NRL requests that interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information via email: Contact Information a) Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) with associated contact information b) Business Size/Socioeconomic Categories c) Unique Entity ID and/or CAGE Code Technical Information a) Description/information of items that can meet the attached draft specifications b) Describe whether your company can provide two bipedal, two-armed humanoid robots, which meet attached draft specifications c) Prior experience of similar scope to that in the attached draft specifications d) Any questions/suggestions (including alternate configurations) related to the draft specifications e) Suggested NAICS and PSC for the effort, if different from NAICS above Responses should be no more than 20 pages, and should be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Morgan Lynch, at morgan.lynch@nrl.navy.mil.
