LOCATION: Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC B. OBJECTIVE: The Naval Research Laboratory is searching for potential sources capable of providing Research and Development (R&D) capability to the Power & Advanced Materials Branch in key technical areas. The Power & Advanced Materials Branch serves as the principal NRL resource for the science and technology of solid state high-power electronic devices. The primary mission of the Branch is to conduct research and development programs in solid state electronics and related technologies that support Navy and DoD interests and capabilities in the full range of new platform and weapons capabilities enabled by high-power solid state electronic devices. Moreover, the Branch serves as the focal point of insertion of power electronics technology into Navy engineering development efforts. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposals will be issued in the near future. Answers to this RFI will be key in shaping certain aspects of the requirement. C. CONTRACT TYPE: The Government is contemplating a solicitation of proposals for award of a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract. D. COMPETITION STRATEGY: Currently contemplating full and open competition unless the results from this RFI support a set-aside of any kind. Federal multiple award schedule holders and/or small businesses are encouraged to reply. E. LENGTH OF AWARD: From date of award through delivery. F. RESPONSE FORMAT: Interested parties, shall, at a minimum, supply all of the below information, in a Capability Statement, and shall use the below format.
