Please see the corresponding attachment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- December 21, 2022: Amendment 0001 with corresponding revised attachments has been posted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is the Navy’s corporate lab for conducting basic and applied research in the ocean sciences. This acquisition involves working with highly-skilled ocean dynamics modeling that will incorporate innovative computational numerical techniques and data assimilation approaches to support the Ocean Sciences Division, Code 7300. The scope of this effort encompasses data collection from near-real time, in situ underwater sensors or via remote sensing at high resolution, and assimilating data into reliable, three-dimensional models and multi-horizon or extended forecasts. The purpose for this Request for Proposals (RFP) is procure the personnel support needed to conduct research regarding the various functional support areas, including Remote Sensing Exploitation, Sea Surface Temperature, Ocean and Atmosphere Coupling and Processes, and Regional Ocean Circulation, to name a few. For each functional support area, the contractor shall also develop higher quality data for input and assimilation with innovative approaches, especially those that can extend the capabilities of existing assets. The Government anticipates award of a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract. This procurement is a re-compete effort for current contract N00173-17-C-6011, which was awarded to Vencore, Inc. (now Peraton).
