Special Notice: This announcement is not a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), and no solicitation is available at this time. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only. Responses to this RFI are not quotes or proposals on which an order will be issued. The Government does not intend to award an order based solely on responses to this RFI. Further, the Government makes no commitment to issue an RFQ in response to this RFI. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of material in response to this RFI. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NRL shall arise as a result of a response to this RFI or NRL’s use of such information either as part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications or work statements for any subsequent requirement. Objective: The Naval Research Laboratory Code 1200 seeks contractor services for the operation, maintenance, and security of several secure facilities located at the Naval Research Laboratory Washington, DC site (described in the attached Performance Work Statement). The intent of this RFI is to: Determine if an adequate number of qualified, interested contractors capable of meeting the Government’s need; Refine the specifications; and Determine if an existing contract vehicle could meet this requirement. NRL asks that the interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: Name of Company and Point of Contact (POC) Suggested NAICS Code Suggested PSC Code If your company is a GSA schedule contractor or approved on another Government contract vehicle that would be appropriate for this requirement Any alternative products that are comparable to the items listed in draft specifications that could also meet the Government’s requirement Questions for the Technical team regarding changes/suggestions to the draft specifications to add clarity. Does your company currently have personnel with a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance? If not, does your company have the capability to obtain personnel with a TS/SCI clearance?
