No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to issue a sole source Contract to Veeco Process Equipment Inc., Saint Paul, MN to provide the services outlined in the attached draft Statement of Work/Specifications. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with authority of Title 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The delivery will be 3-5 months after contract award. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No reimbursement for any cost connected with providing capability information will be provided.
