The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit private industry, government Research and Development (R&D) organizations, and academia for commercial or government marine perception systems (radars) to be used on unmanned surface vessels (USV) for inclusion in a USV Hazard Avoidance Capability Demonstration (CD). The CD will focus on the use of radar systems for perception and hazard avoidance on Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). Capabilities and characteristics of selected systems will be demonstrated during on the water trials and the results will be used to inform decision makers of emerging and available solutions that may enhance or improve existing capabilities.
