The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for a STAVE projector system. The compliant material is available solely from Direct Dimensions, Inc., as the required support can only be purchased through DDI. The NAICS code is 334516 and the business size is 1000 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Direct Dimensions, Inc. (DDI). The proposed action is for projector equipment, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: DDI is the only source of the required items, with no compatible material on the market. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Direct Dimensions, Inc. using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 11:59AM 14 November 2023. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 11:59AM on 11/14/2023 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
