The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to issue Solicitation No. N0016720R0010, VCS Tailcone. This requirement is for the manufacturing of VIRGINIA Class submarine Advanced Material (AM) Version 3 (V3) Tailcones. The NAICS code will be 336611, size standard 1250 employees. The PSC will be 2010 - Ship and Boat Propulsion Components. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Completion contract with an ordering period of five years. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued on or around January 15, 2019. Interested firms may view and/or download the solicitation, attachments, and any amendments only from the System for Award Management (SAM) website at www.beta.sam.gov once it is posted. It is the prospective Offeror's responsibility to monitor the website for changes to this notice, announcements, or amendments to the solicitation. Interested firms are advised to register in SAM prior to submission of proposals. This pre-solicitation notice is for the purpose of informing industry that the VCS Tailcone solicitation will be posted to FBO.gov. This notice is not a request for proposal. Proposals submitted as a result of this pre-solicitation notice will not be accepted and the Government will not reimburse for a proposal/response provided.
