The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for the Inspection and Repair of a Worthington (Flowserve) VTE Pump. The NAICS code is 811310 and the Product/Service Code is J035. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Cummins-Wagner. The proposed action is for the Inspection and Repair of a Worthington (Flowserve) VTE Pump.for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reason: Cummins-Wagner is the only authorized industrial distributor for Maryland. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Cummins-Wagner using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 25 March 2020. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 25 March 2020 at 10:00 AM EST will be considered by the Government. Any questions must be received via e-mail by 24 March 2020 at 10:00 AM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
