The NAICS code is ... The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for FARO Arm and Laser Line warranty renewals. The product will be provided by FARO Technologies, Inc. The NAICS code is 334513 and the size standard is 750 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to FARO technologies, Inc. The proposed action is used for measuring objects through the use of eye-safe lasers and probes, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to include two option years to FARO Technologies, Inc. using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 24-September-2019. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by 24-September-2019. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
