This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR Subpart 13.1 as supplement with the additional information included in this notice. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Redacted Sole Source Justification is included with this synopsis. The Government intend to solicit and negotiate with Jensen Hughes for the additive manufacturing (AM) Polymer Assessment and Testing Support Services. The NAICS code for this intended acquisition is 541330 and the business size is $15,000,000.00. The RFQ number is N00167-19-Q-0178. Attached is a copy of the solicitation. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement on later than 1100 AM (EST), 12 Aug. 2019. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTE. However, the Government will consider capabilities statement received by 1100 AM (EST), 12 Aug. 2019. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
