Request for Information (RFI): Propulsor Demonstration Hardware (PDH) Follow-On This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and award of a contract will not be made as a result of this questionnaire. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) requests assistance from industry for conducting market research on a future contract to provide manufacturing design drawings, engineering, fabrication, inspection, and assembly of prototype propulsor, shafting and bearing components as well as the equipment needed to support propulsor Research & Development, testing and evaluation (RDT&E). The NAICS code will be 336611, size standard 1250 employees. The PSC will be 2010 - Ship and Boat Propulsion Components. The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Completion and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee Term contract with an ordering period of five years. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued on or around FY2025. Interested firms may view and/or download the solicitation, attachments, and any amendments only from the System for Award Management (SAM) website at www.sam.gov once it is posted. It is the prospective Offeror's responsibility to monitor the SAM website for changes to this notice, announcements, or amendments to the solicitation. Interested firms are advised to registed in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov prior to submission of proposals. The pre-solicitation notice is for the purpose of information industry that the Propulsor Demonstration Hardware (PDH) Follow-On solicitation will be posted to SAM.gov. This notice is not a request for proposal. Proposals submitted as a result of this pre-solicitation will not be accepted and the Government will not reimburse for a proposal/response provided. Included with this notice is the draft Statement of Work (SOW) and Drawing 245_8752861B. The draft documents are being provided to request comments, recommendations, and questions from potential offerors. As part of the response, the offerors, at a minimum, shall: List business size Demonstrate the capability to meet the requirements Inform the Government if barriers exist that would not allow for the offeror to propose The response is limited to ten pages. Please note that no Government response will be provided to questions/comments submitted in response to this notice and respondents will NOT be notified of the results of the sources sought. All questions/comments/recommendations will be reviewed by the Government to assist in identifying revisions to be incorporated in the final documents.
