The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for servohydrolic frames. The compliant services is available solely from MTS Systems Corporation, as the required timeframe can only be met through MTA. The NAICS code is 334519 and the business size is 500 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to MTS. The proposed action is for servohydrolic frames, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: MTS is the only source of the required service, with no compatible service on the market. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to MTS Systems Corporation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 11:59AM 19 July 2022. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 11:59AM on 07/19/2022 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
