The c... This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for a technical, modeling, and calibration support. The compliant service is available solely from Jensen Hughes, Inc., as Jensen Hughes is the only vendor with the experience to complete all required support services on schedule. The NAICS code is 541990 and the business size is $15 million. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Jensen Hughes, Inc. The proposed action is for support services, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Jensen Hughes is the only vendor with experience with the equipment. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Jensen Hughes, Inc. using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 11:59PM 03 May 2019. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 11:59PM on 05/03/2019 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
