Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane requires maintenance for its Hitachi SU7000 system, and the Government intends to sole-source this action to Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc., of Dallas, TX, under FAR 13.106-1. The sole-source rationale is that Hitachi maintains an active parts inventory and has access to proprietary information needed for system repair. The solicitation was issued on 08 OCT 2026, and all responsible sources may submit a capability statement for consideration. The Government retains discretion on whether to compete the proposed contract based on any responses.
