N0016422SNB06 – Sources Sought – This requirement is for a High Voltage Output Terminal (Ceramic Terminal) in support of AN/SPS-49 Internal High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS) – PSC 5940 – NAICS 327110 Issue Date: 27 October 2021 – Closing Date: 10 November 2021 at 4:00 p.m. EST Sources Sought: The Government is issuing this Sources Sought announcement in accordance with DFARS 205.205-71. This is NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS and no contract will be awarded from this Sources Sought. MARKET SURVEY - Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is seeking potential sources to fulfill a requirement for a High Voltage Output Terminal (Ceramic Terminal) in support of AN/SPS-49 Internal High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS). Companies with the capability and facilities to provide this type of supplies and services as well as the experience/expertise are invited to submit information pertaining to their capability to fulfill this requirement. The proposed contract action is for the supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract, with one source, CeramTec North America Corporation, One Technology Place, Laurens, SC 29360. This effort is anticipated to be conducted on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) which states the basis for restricting competition is the anticipated substantial duplicative costs to the Government to qualify another manufacturer’s product for shipboard use, which are not anticipated to be recouped through competition, and the anticipated unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirements through any other source. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
