N0016419RWP58 Job Order 0002- SOLE SOURCE - Engineering Support of Gold Tube Testing of Simplified Driver (SDR) and Continuous Wave Illuminator (CWI) Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs) - PSC - J012 - NAICS 541330 Solicitation Issue Date: 22 MAY 2019 - Closing Date: 24 JUN 2019 - 2:00PM EST Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for Engineering Services in support of Gold Tube Testing of SDR TWTs used in the AN/SPY-1D(V) and CWI TWTs used in the MK99 Fire Control System (FCS). The proposed contract action is for the services, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Communications and Power Industries (CPI), under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is being sole-sourced because establishing alternate sources to support the required support and repair would result in substantial duplication of costs and unacceptable delays in fulfilling requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
