N0016419RWP58 - SOLE SOURCE - Engineering Support of Microwave Tubes and Government Furnished Equipment Support and Repairs - PSC - 5960 - NAICS 541330 Solicitation Issue Date: 15 MAR 2019 - Closing Date: 15 APR 2019 - 2:00PM EST Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for Engineering Services support of Microwave Tubes (MWTs) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) support and repairs. The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Communications and Power Industries (CPI), under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is being sole-sourced because establishing alternate sources to support the required support and repair would result in substantial duplication of costs and unacceptable delays in fulfilling requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). FedBizOps may be accessed at http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation and all changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be provided directly to CPI. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must request the document via e-mail, from the government POC listed below. In addition, it is anticipated that job order 0001 to this requirement will be solicited to CPI concurrent with the solicitation covered by this requirement. Job order 0001 is anticipated to be for GFE maintenance. All changes that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the FedBizOpps website. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and / or award.
