AMENDMENT 0008: The purpose of this amendment is to notify all offerors that Solicitation number N0016418RJQ48, originally issued on 31 August 2018, for the Handgun Aiming Laser (HAL), has been canceled, effective 02JUL2020. The Department of the Navy (DON) has determined there is no longer a requirement for the HAL as currently solicited. At this time, the DON cannot justify aw ard of a contract for a system w ith these specific attributes based on a reassessment of end user requirement and budgeting priorities. AMENDMENT 0007: This amendment is issued to incorporate a revised specification (PRF/18/JXQR/163 REV B, CH 0) dated 05 FEB 2019, and to extend the closing date to 01 MAY 2019, 3:00 PM EST.
