N00164-18-P-0304 - SOLE SOURCE - GOLD TUBE TESTING - PSC J012 - NAICS 334419 SYNOPSIS ISSUE DATE: 24 MAY 2019 - SYNOPSIS CLOSING DATE: 07 JUNE 2019 12:00PM Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for the addition of a CLIN to awarded Simplified Acquisition Procedures contract N00164-18-P-0304 to continue Gold Tube Testing for a period of three months. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Communication & Power Industries (CPI) LLC, Beverly, MA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This is being sole sourced because only two companies, including CPI, produce the gold tubes and each has the specialized capability to perform gold tube testing on their particular test set. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency; however, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A Solicitation will NOT be posted to FedBizOpps due to the sole source nature of the action. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to receive the controlled attachments.
