This is a sources sought announcement in anticipation of a potential future procurement. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWCCR) is conducting market research to determine alternate suppliers for and/or industry capability to provide 200 quantity Controller, Shutter-Motor (PN S753151002-01, REV A). At this time, the Government intends to award a Sole Source contract to Nanomotion, Inc., 1 Comac Loop, Suite 14B2, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 (hereinafter referred to as Nanomotion) for the procurement of Controller, Shutter-Motor (Part No. S753151002-01, REV A) in support of the Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) for the Common Sensor Payload (CSP). The anticipated contract type will be firm-fixed price. What/Where to Submit: Interested companies should submit, on company letterhead, a notice of interest including the name, telephone number, mailing address, and e-mail address of one point of contact to NSWC Crane Code 0231, Attn: Kayla K. The notice of interest should include a brief description of your company and its capabilities as they relate to the requirements set forth below, and answers to the following specific questions. If not, does your company offer a valid alternative to the aforementioned part? 2. Is your company a small or large business as defined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) under NAICS code 335312 (a small business must have 1,000 or less employees)? 3. How many employees does your company have? 4. Does your company have a website? If so, what is your company’s website address? 5. If your company has the capability to provide Controller, Shutter-Motor, please provide a document showing that your company is an authorized distributor of this part. If your company is capable of providing an alternative to Controller, Shutter-Motor, please provide a capability statement demonstrating that the alternative you plan to propose is a valid alternative for the form, fit, and function of the Controller, Shutter-Motor in the MTS for the CSP. Information provided shall be treated as Business Sensitive or Confidential to the responder, exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act. All information shall be provided free of charge to the Government. NAVSEA may request further information regarding the capabilities of respondents to meet the requirements set forth in the announcement. This sources sought announcement is not a request for proposal. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to gather information for the purpose of market research. Information provided in response to this sources sought announcement will not be considered an offer by the responding contractor and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
