THIS IS NOTE A RFQ Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose," this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought for information and planning purposes for qualified and experienced sources to provide the USNA with a new dishwasher. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Government plans to procure these services as Commercial Item as defined in FAR 2.101. Introduction: Procurement and replacement for MFSD’s Chesapeake Kitchen dishwasher. Background: MFSD’s mission, in part, is to prepare and provide three meals to over4500 midshipmen, daily. Quality galley equipment is essential to allow staff to effectivelyfulfill the mission of MFSD. Scope. Procure and replace the Chesapeake Kitchen’s dishwasher with a new dishwasher. Description of Services. Remove and replace current Meiko K66S Dishwasher. Delivery Schedule and Location. Services shall take place at MFSD’s galley kitchen between the hours of 0700-1500. Address for location of services: US Naval Academy 101 Sands Road Annapolis, MD 21412 Vender shall be within a 100 miles driving radius from 101 Sands Road Annapolis, MD 21412 Base Access. The deliverer shall require vetting in order to gain access to the Naval Academy. The Naval Academy shall act as the vendor’s sponsor and shall assist with the vetting process. Each of the delivery team members shall be vetted through base Security and the company’s vehicle shall be subject to inspection. All members of the delivery team shall be required to pass a criminal background check in order to be granted permission to enter the Naval Academy. Screening and inspection can take up to two hours depending on the level of activity at the inspection entrance. Vendors shall anticipate this delay when entering the Naval Academy. Deliverables. Dishwasher requirements: Dishwasher conveyor type, conveyor dishwasher, single tank with a power scrapper, (202) racks/hour, insulated hinged doors, .62 gallons/rack, stainless steel enclosure panels, microprocessor controls with low temperature & dirty water indicators, NSF pot & pan mode, programable de-lime notification, power scrapper vent cowl curtain kit, 30 kW stainless booster, and drain water tempering kit. Standard warranty with 1-year parts, labor & travel time during normal business working hours within the USA. Steam coil tank heat, stainless steel, 208-240v/60/3-ph, Standard height, right to left operation, standard feet, 2 VNTHD/E-ADJ E-series vent hood domestic (adjustable), -SWITCH Table limit switch CLE-Series, SEF-8586-B remote booster ready - plumbing and electrical remote booster line to be added separately remote booster must be within 3 feet of unit to function correctly only for EGR and Advansys units, booster heater, steam-10-50 PSI, booster-100-120v/50v/60/1-ph, booster-TYP150 150-1 booster. The machine must be no more than 82 in length and 68 inches in height. Installation requirements: All work shall be performed during regular working hours (M-F 7AM- 3PM). Vendor shall remove and dispose of existing Hobart steam dishwasher & steam booster. Vendor shall receive, deliver, and install new steam dishwasher and external steam booster. Vendor shall Install table limit switch. Vendor shall Upgrade electric. Vendor shall Furnish labor and materials to remove existing stainless-steel ducts from existing dishwasher. Vendor shall Furnish labor and materials to retrofit stainless steel table. Vendor shall Furnish labor to set table and install stainless steel offsets to dishwasher. Vendor shall Run cold water line for energy recovery unit. Vendor shall Make final utility connections within 5'. Vendor shall Perform startup, verify proper operation, train operators. New equipment shall match the location’s current specifications: electrical, gas lines, plumbing/drains, and venting. Installations shall be completed during normal business hours. Monday -Friday; 7:00am – 3:00pm Vendor shall Remove and dispose of existing equipment Vendor shall Uncrate and set-in place in existing location on the ground level Final hook-ups shall be (within 5 feet) to existing utilities Vendor shall Validate that equipment is working properly upon completion of installation Vendor shall Remove of packaging materials and rubbish
