The Government does not own the data or rights needed to contract repair from additional sources, and it has determined that buying the data or reverse engineering the part is uneconomical. Military and Federal specifications, standards, QPLs, QPDs, handbooks, and other standardized documents may be obtained from DODSSP/DAPS in Philadelphia, PA or via ASSIST-Online, though patterns, drawings, deviation lists, and purchase descriptions are not stocked there. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements for consideration, but this notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government is not using FAR Part 12 commercial-item policies, though interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.
