The Navy requires manufacture and quality requirements for a CAP per drawing 2526608, with marking per MIL-STD-129 and configuration control per MIL-STD-973. The CAP must be mercury-free for submarine/surface ship use, and the contractor must maintain an ISO 9001 quality system, perform inspections, and retain inspection records for four years after final delivery. Packaging, preservation, packing, and marking must follow the Contract/Purchase Order Schedule and MIL-STD-2073. This is an Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities requirement; any award will be bilateral, require contractor written acceptance, and be certified as a DO-rated DPAS order.
