The material will support a crucial shipboard system and is designated Special Emphasis material with stringent quality and safety controls. The contractor must furnish a stuffing box assembly focusing knob per Kollmorgen drawings 933C055087/PL933C055087, including a stuffing box plug made from ASTM-B21 Alloy C46400 H02 with certified chemical and mechanical analysis. Required quality actions include NDT of weld repairs/production welds, hydrostatic pressure testing per Drawing 7491389, FED-STD-H28 thread inspection, prohibition of molybdenum disulfide thread lubricant, and an ISO 9001 or MIL-I-45208 quality system with calibration controls. The award will be a DO-rated defense priority order with Government quality assurance at source, configuration control/waiver-ECP procedures, and full material traceability and certification requirements. A one-year warranty applies from date of delivery, and DD1423 Data Item A001 may be waived if already on file at NAVSUP WSS Mechanicsburg.
