The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole-source basis under FAR 6.302-1 for six each of NSN 7H-5998-010247849-GL (TDP VER 005), delivered FOB origin. This is a Level 1 item that will be acquired only from approved sources, and award requires an inspection system conforming to MIL-I-45208A or equivalent as certified by a joint DCMA/NAVSUP WSS survey team. The Government does not own the data or rights needed to contract repair from additional sources and has determined that buying the data or reverse engineering the part is uneconomical. Market research indicates FAR Part 12 commercial item procedures will not be used, but interested parties may identify interest and capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. The acquisition may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and the WTO Government Procurement Agreement if the corresponding DFARS clauses are included, and all responsible sources may identify interest or submit proposals for consideration, though this notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
