The government does not own the data or rights needed for repair from other sources and has deemed it uneconomical to acquire the data or reverse engineer the part, so it intends to negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may still identify their interest and capability, and responses will be considered to decide whether competition is feasible. Relevant military and federal specifications can be obtained from the DoD Single Stock Point, though patterns and drawings are not stocked there.
