This is a contract for the manufacture of a Disk Drive Unit for the Navy, with strict quality and material requirements. The supplies must be mercury-free and manufactured according to specific design Cage Codes. The contractor must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO 9001 and is responsible for all inspection requirements. Packaging and marking must comply with MIL-STD-129 and other referenced standards. Proof of being an authorized distributor of the original manufacturer's item is required for consideration.

Inactive Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5)

This is a proposed sole-source contract for 50 units to be delivered to DLA distribution centers in Norfolk, Virginia and San Diego, California. The government does not own the technical data rights for this part and finds obtaining them or reverse engineering the part to be uneconomical. While the government intends to negotiate with only one source, all responsible sources may submit their capability statements within 45 days of the synopsis publication for consideration. Interested parties may also identify that they can satisfy the requirement with a commercial item within 15 days.
