This is a Navy procurement for a critical shipboard Stem per Newport News drawing 255416, Piece 4, made from ASTM-B150 Alloy C63200 (Temper TQ50 or TQ55) and designated Special Emphasis/Level I/SUBSAFE material. The contractor must maintain an ISO-9001 (or MIL-I-45208) quality system, submit quality system procedures prior to award, and comply with extensive traceability, material certification, welding/brazing, and configuration-control requirements. Government source inspection and quality assurance are required, and the resulting award will be a DPAS-rated order under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities.
