The Navy requires five bonnets for an inlet valve assembly, manufactured to VACCO drawing V3D10096, item 3, from ASTM-A582 Type 303 material. The material is designated SPECIAL EMPHASIS for a crucial shipboard system, so the contractor must maintain an ISO-9001 quality system with specified calibration requirements and provide extensive material traceability, test certifications, and configuration control. Welding/brazing procedures and personnel qualifications must be approved, and waivers/deviations require Contracting Officer review. Non-OEM offerors must identify the OEM and provide a signed distributor authorization letter; packaging at a different facility must also be identified. The awarded order will be bilaterally executed, DX-rated under DPAS, FOB destination, subject to Government quality assurance at source, and include a one-year warranty from delivery.
