61--WPN PWR CONVERTER, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF
This is a U.S. Navy requirement for the repair of a Weapon Power Converter, requiring the contractor to perform a teardown and evaluation within 120 days of receiving the carcass(es) and then submit a firm-fixed price quote for the full repair. The contractor must propose a Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT), with a requested RTAT of 180 days, and price reductions will apply for failing to meet the required RTAT. The item must be mercury-free due to its intended use on submarines/surface ships, and all repair work must comply with specific military standards, including MIL-STD-129 for marking. If the offeror is not the Original Equipment Manufacturer, they must provide a signed letter of authorization from the OEM.
