This is a total small business set-aside Navy contract to manufacture the AN/BPS-15 radar mast assembly, including associated components, for use in a crucial shipboard system where material failure could cause serious injury or loss of the ship. The work involves strict special emphasis quality controls, mandatory material certifications (e.g., K-MONEL, HDPE, copper alloy), and requires compliance with numerous military specifications and drawings, including confidential hydrostatic test pressures. Contractors must perform and certify multiple tests (hydrostatic, ultrasonic, dye penetrant, liquid penetrant, wedge tensile, etc.) and submit welding/brazing procedures and qualification data for approval. A one-year warranty from date of delivery applies, and the resulting order will be DO-rated for national defense use under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System. The contract is issued with a small business subcontracting plan requirement and will consider past performance in evaluation.
