This is a contract for the manufacture and supply of specialized, high-reliability fasteners (studs, bolts, screws, and nuts) that must meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-1222 for use in a critical U.S. Navy shipboard system. The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS (Level I/SUBSAFE), requiring stringent quality assurance, complete material traceability, and certifications. The contractor must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (or an acceptable alternate like MIL-I-45208) and provide Government source inspection. A one-year warranty applies from the date of delivery.
