This is a contract for the procurement of special emphasis, Level I fasteners (studs, bolts, screws, and nuts) that must meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-1222 for use in a crucial, safety-critical shipboard system. The final delivery of material is required on or before 365 days after the effective date of the resulting contract. The work involves stringent quality assurance requirements, including a mandated quality system (ISO-9001 or equivalent), extensive material traceability, and Government source inspection. The order is a "DO" rated priority under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) and is issued pursuant to Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities.
