This is a contract for the manufacture and supply of specialized, high-reliability fasteners (specifically, 5/8 inch Grade B7 hex cap screws) that are designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material for a crucial shipboard system. The final delivery of material is required on or before 365 days after the effective date of the resulting contract. The work involves strict adherence to military specifications, including MIL-DTL-1222, and requires a robust quality system (ISO-9001 or equivalent), extensive testing, and full material traceability. Government Quality Assurance will be performed at the source, and the place of performance may not be changed without authorization.
