The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS (Level I) for use in a crucial shipboard system where failure could result in catastrophic loss. The contractor must provide extensive certifications, maintain a qualified quality system (ISO-9001 or equivalent), and ensure full material traceability from raw stock to finished product. Final delivery of the material is required on or before 365 days after the effective date of the resulting contract.
