Bidders must review the material IRPOD at the BPMI site, and applicable technical documents are export-controlled/NOFORN and may require prior Naval Sea Systems Command approval for foreign release. The material is shelf-life sensitive, with deliveries required to have fresh shelf-life dates, and Certificates of Compliance and cure-date certificates must be submitted at material delivery to NAVSUP-WSS Code N9433. Packaging/cleanliness requirements include MIL-PRF-23199, MIL-STD-767/2041, MIL-STD-2073, and clean/reactor plant clean controls; fire-retardant packaging is no longer required, and mercury must not be intentionally added or contact hardware/supplies.
