This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit an offer that, if received in a timely manner, will be considered. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.

The Government intends to solicit as full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit for the procurement of: 1377-00-731-9271, DODIC M688,Initiator, Cartridge Actuated, 1377-00-731-9272, DODIC M689, Initiator, Cartridge Actuated, 1377-00-845-1059 DODIC M700, Initiator, Cartridge Actuated and 1377-00-684-3313, DODIC M218, Cartridge Impulse in support of escape systems for the A-4, A-10, AV-8, AT-38, B-52, F-5, OA-10, , S-3, TAV-8,T-38, WB-57 aircraft. The government does possess and can provide the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the item.
