FMS repair requirement for HUB Assembly, NSN 2010-00-453-5803, part # 11024D0601, quantity 1 AND NSN 2010-00-453-5804, part # 11024D0602, quantity 1., DELIVERY FOB ORIGIN. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase / contract repair of this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data.\ \ The proposed contract action is a repair requirement for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, quotations or capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The government will NOT pay for any information submitted.\ \ Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of to analyze whether or not more competition is possible without a delay to award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets the qualification requirement(s) at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.\ However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.\ \ The ultimate awardee of the proposed contract action must be a certified repair depot in accordance with the NAVSEA DSOR approval process. As stated previously award of the proposed contract action will NOT be delayed while an uncertified source seeks to obtain certification. Source approvals are normally for future repair procurements of the same item.\ \
