NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to for the packaging and transportation return of residual Government material to be returned from the contractor’s facility to the Navy Supply System as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit for the return of fifty-nine NIINs (see Attachment “A” for list) that support various Weapon Systems. This effort is not for the repair of the units to be returned nor the purchase of new units. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
