This is a synopsis for a basic ordering agreement (BOA). NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS) intends to solicit Harris Corporation (Cage 24930) for commercial repair, modification and servicing as appropriate for Major Weapon Systems supported: CVN, LHAs and LHDs. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Governm3ent intends to solicit and negotiate only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies and procedures contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisitions of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the Contracting Officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial items within 15 days of this notice.
