The Navy lacks the technical data to produce this item, and the spares are sole-source, with only sources approved by the In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) eligible for consideration. Interested companies must become certified Depot Overhaul Points and submit a SAR-Maritime for NAVSEA ISEA technical review; the approval process can be lengthy. Offers for remanufactured, surplus, or repaired items will be deemed nonresponsive. The acquisition will include FAR 52.217-6 Option for Increased Quantity and is intended for sole-source negotiation under FAR 6.302-1, not as a commercial-item acquisition, with qualification requirements met at award. All responsible sources may identify interest or submit proposals, but this notice is not a request for competitive proposals and any decision to compete is at the Government’s discretion.
