The Government, specifically the NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (WSS) Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate, has a continuing need for various competitively procured items within the Radiological Containment (RADCON) Program used for the Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program. There are 41 different Federal Supply Class (FSC) Codes for these items. Subject RADCON items are currently purchased via competitively issued call orders placed against the current five-year Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) established in December 2017 and expiring December 2022. Based on historical data, the Directorate anticipates issuing approximately 1,250-1,500 delivery orders, totaling approximately $20 million during the upcoming 5 years. At this time the Government is seeking to issue new BPAs for the subject RADCON items. It is in the best interest of the Government to establish BPAs with multiple suppliers in order to provide maximum practicable competition. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. However, interested small business concerns can view the attached Request for Information (RFI) to determine if its capabilities meet the technical and quality requirements necessary for the manufacture of this complex and critically applied nuclear material.
