NAVWAR intends to award a sole-source, five-year extension to the existing Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for the PRP tactical portable radio program to L3Harris Technologies. The extension will use remaining contract ceiling valued at an estimated $2.47 billion, providing portable radios with secure waveforms and SATCOM for Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and other stakeholders. L3Harris is cited as the only source capable of continued production due to its role as original designer and the need to meet form, fit, and function requirements without duplication of cost or program delays. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may submit capability information for the Government's consideration. The contract action supports portable, shipboard emergency communications and interoperability with joint and coalition forces.
