The U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to issue a sole-source contract to L3 Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation for extensive engineering support related to Flight Test Instrumentation and shipboard data systems. The work involves maintenance, development, and lifecycle management for test systems, as well as the design of a portable land-based telemetry system and modernization of the Shipboard Data System. The final delivery for this effort is required 48 months after contract award. The justification for a sole-source award is that the government believes only this contractor possesses the necessary critical expertise, personnel, and program knowledge to perform the work effectively. While not a request for competitive proposals, the government will consider responses received within fifteen days of the synopsis publication date.
