The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) on behalf of the Support Ships, Boats, and Craft Program intends to issue a Full and Open Competition solicitation in September 2021 for the design and construction of one (1) Auxiliary Floating Dry Dock Medium (AFDM) under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with associated supplies and services, under NAICS code 336611. The associated supplies and services consist of: technical data, a production level data package, crew familiarization, wing wall cranes, vehicle bridge design, and vehicle bridge construction. The purpose of this announcement is to inform all interested parties of the forthcoming requirements for this procurement and to request feedback from industry on the attached draft solicitation and attachments. Feedback will be accepted until 30 AUG 2020 due to the forthcoming solicitation release schedule.
