Shipboard Fairbanks Morse Diesel Engine System Sustainment Plan (SSP)
PAE Maritime is conducting market research to identify sources capable of providing some or all sustainment capabilities for U.S. Navy surface-ship Fairbanks Morse Defense Diesel engines, with potential performance at Navy Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activities, Fleet Concentration areas within the United States, and Navy locations worldwide. Contemplated capabilities include diesel materiel support, Pit Stop CONEX boxes, repair parts, rotable inventories, overhaul parts packages, engineering, logistics, training, embedded technical expertise at SIMAs, overhaul/unit exchange, and global unplanned/emergent field services. The Government is considering acquisition approaches such as a single-award IDIQ, multiple contracts, or coordinated multi-source solutions, and no final acquisition strategy has been selected. Major Engine Overhaul and Unit Exchange must be completed within a mandatory maintenance window of 45 days or less, and respondents should identify relevant experience, personnel, facilities, configuration coverage, and schedule capability. Responses are for market research only and may be submitted by a single organization or team/partners, addressing relevant capability areas and distinguishing current versus to-be-developed capabilities.
