NAVAIR intends to award a sole-source purchase order to BAE Systems in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 160 M-Code GPS receivers and 200 NavStrike 3.7 GPS receivers. These receivers support the Over-the-Horizon Weapon System Naval Strike Missile and Air Force Joint Strike Missile programs. BAE is the original manufacturer and the only responsible source due to its unique knowledge and lack of government data rights. This notice is not a request for proposals, and the government will not fund development of other sources. The government will consider responses solely to determine whether a competitive procurement is possible.
